The low profile is necessary to keep out dust, debris, and other hazards from getting into your eyes, but oftentimes this close fit can trap moisture inside, causing fogging issues.
A lot of safety eyewear brands have developed solutions for fogging that work well… until you clean them. Where these brands fail is in the longevity of their anti-fog performance. Because their anti-fog coatings are detergent-based, after just a few washes, the coatings completely wash off.

All HexArmor® coatings have these four unique characteristics:
1. Permanent coatings that are four times thicker than the competition and will not wash off
2. Hydrophilic anti-fog properties, meaning moisture is absorbed, not spread around (most competitors are hydrophobic and work like Rain-X® -- the moisture beads up and spreads on the lens)
3. Scratch-resistant properties
4. Flow-coated to allow for specific protection on either side of the lens (most competitors are dip-coated meaning you can’t get specific protection on either side of the lens)

TruShield®
Best for: Fogging from body heat and potentially dirty environments
Our signature coating, TruShield®, is a multipurpose dual coating that’s suitable for most environments, both indoor and outdoor. The following three coatings are for very specific activities and environments that call for different formulations of protection.
TruShield®2F
Best for: Hot to cold temperature transitions
TruShield®2F dual-coated lenses are ideal for moderately dirty environments where you could be transitioning from cold to hot or hot to cold. If you are constantly moving from an air-conditioned house to the summer heat outside, this coating will work well for you. TruShield®2F lenses have a combination of permanent anti-fog and scratch resistance on both the interior and exterior of the lens that will not wash off over time. Shop TruShield®2F eyewear here.

TruShield®S:
Best for: Extreme outdoor environments
TruShield®S dual-coated lenses are ideal for environments where there’s a high degree of dirt or debris and more severe fogging factors. This coating would be perfect for activities such as chopping wood, clearing brush/fields, and even farming. TruShield®2SF
Best for: Direct fog or steam environments
TruShield®2SF is our dual-action anti-fog coating, ideal for applications where there is constant environmental fogging, like if you’re working around a paper machine or around constantly steaming hot water.
