SuperFabric® brand material is a HexArmor® exclusively licensed solution that protects against the most dangerous hazards encountered on the job. This is done through the configuration of tiny guard plates on the SuperFabric® performance fabrics that protect against cut, puncture, and needlestick injuries, without sacrificing dexterity.
Different cut levels mean different strengths of cut-resistant material, with 1 being the least resistant and 9 being the most. ANSI/ISEA 105 American National Standard offers a 9-level scale (called out as A1-A9) based on the gram score. This scale spans from 200 grams to 6,000 grams of cut resistance. Prior to 2016, this standard used a 1-5 scale, but was updated to allow for more accurate identification of protection in PPE.
