When you need the ultimate knit glove that meets cut hazards head-on, Core9™ technology by HexArmor® has got you covered. The Helix® 2060 with Core9™ technology offers an innovatively engineered 13-gauge HPPE, steel, and fiberglass blend shell that allows for higher cut-resistant filaments to be woven on the outside, while including a softer-feeling cut-resistant knit on the inside for industry-leading, 360° ANSI/ISEA level A9 cut protection. A flexible polyurethane palm coating gives these high-visibility knit gloves superior grip and abrasion resistance, perfect for everything from wet and oil situations to dry applications, with added touchscreen capabilities.
These gloves are far better than tradionalt gloves you would get at home depot or harbor freight. The cut resistance is far superior to those. The dexterity is a little less. I use these gloves for my employees in the sheet metal shop and I use them when I'm fabricating as well. They have kept their hands from unnecessary cuts and scuffs, I was not really happy with the dexterity on them. It is a little more difficult to manipulate the sheets and pieces than usual, but perhaps its just these old arthritic hands and a break in period that I need to be patient for.
Bought these for protection while grafting with "scary sharp" knife. Haven't actually tested the cut and puncture resistance yet, but I do feel more confident and less shaky with the gloves on. Last year, I bought a "Large" size pair and they were pretty tight fitting. Thought they might break in some after wearing, but they didn't stretch really, so bought a XXL size and my fingers didn't reach the ends of the glove fingers (too big). So, gave the original pair to my wife (perfect fit), using the XXL for remodeling and yard work, and bought a XL pair that fits just right and to be used exclusively for grafting. There is a big difference in finger lengths, it seems, between L, XL, and XXL sizes. All seemed to fit similarly snugly, but finger lengths were the bigger difference. Would change rating to five stars, if, when slipping with the knife and slicing the glove I don't get a puncture or cut--only time will tell.;-)
