Overview

Sawing raw woodcuts and plywood in the lumbar yard can make some pretty rough edges and if you change the blades, those edges go from rough to sharp instantly. That's why we designed the Helix® 2060. High-level 360° cut and puncture resistance keeps your hands safe while changing the blades, dealing with splinters and abrasive materials. The knit cuff securely wraps around your wrist to keep sawdust and debris out, so you can work comfortably all day.

  • Knit: Core9™ 13-gauge HPPE/steel/fiberglass blend shell provides extreme, all-around cut resistance

  • Coating: Flexible polyurethane palm coating that's slightly tacky and textured to provide superior grip in wet or dry situations

  • Touchscreen capable fingertips

  • Hi-vis on back-of-hand enhances visibility

  • Knit wrist helps prevent dirt and debris from entering the glove

  • Seamless construction for enhanced comfort and breathability

  • Ultimate dexterity and tactility

  • Washable for extended life

Not really what I thought.

These gloves are far better than tradionalt gloves you would get at home depot or harbor freight. The cut resistance is far superior to those. The dexterity is a little less. I use these gloves for my employees in the sheet metal shop and I use them when I'm fabricating as well. They have kept their hands from unnecessary cuts and scuffs, I was not really happy with the dexterity on them. It is a little more difficult to manipulate the sheets and pieces than usual, but perhaps its just these old arthritic hands and a break in period that I need to be patient for.

ADDED CONFIDENCE, STILL UNTESTED CUT RESISTANCE

Bought these for protection while grafting with "scary sharp" knife. Haven't actually tested the cut and puncture resistance yet, but I do feel more confident and less shaky with the gloves on. Last year, I bought a "Large" size pair and they were pretty tight fitting. Thought they might break in some after wearing, but they didn't stretch really, so bought a XXL size and my fingers didn't reach the ends of the glove fingers (too big). So, gave the original pair to my wife (perfect fit), using the XXL for remodeling and yard work, and bought a XL pair that fits just right and to be used exclusively for grafting. There is a big difference in finger lengths, it seems, between L, XL, and XXL sizes. All seemed to fit similarly snugly, but finger lengths were the bigger difference. Would change rating to five stars, if, when slipping with the knife and slicing the glove I don't get a puncture or cut--only time will tell.;-)
