Thank you for your review, George! The Chrome 4027 glove isn't going anywhere, we are just experiencing backorders in sizes Small and Medium.
Great gloves! good fit, great flexibility, grip is exceptional, very durable. the cut resistance is adequate also the back of hand is well insulated from impact injuries and puncture resistance is icing on the cake. they are a little pricey but, stitches are a lot more. use the sizing chart provided to make sure you get the right size. I did not with my first purchase and regretted it. I will purchase these whenever I need a new set again.
Nathan, we appreciate your feedback.
I have used Chrome series gloves in the past (4025) and they lasted a long time, provided great safety and were comfortable. These new 4027 I am unsure of. I have used them twice. I work in paper mills handling doctor blades and mechanical supervision of doctor equipment and yes, it is tough on gloves which is why I have always purchased HexArmor. Don't know if I got a one off suspect pair or if it is the series but the jury is still out on the 4027's. The crotch is coming apart and the impact protection on the fingers are separating. Thus far, not impressed with the 4027's. Would love to give 5 stars but just cannot given the wear thus far. Will update with more use.
Thank you so much for leaving a review! We actually have 2 great options specifically designed for paper millwork and handling blades! Rig Lizard Thin Lizzie 2098 and the Helix 2061 are made for just that kind of work, they are Breathable, more dexterous, and lower cost than the Chrome Series. A 3rd alternative is the Chrome Series 4023 because of its 360 full hand-cut protection. We are working on a new website to better explain which products are made for what application so I can understand the frustration here. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to us!
These gloves are a great concept. I use them for lawn care and landscaping, so I have put them through **** to see how well they hold up for $50, compared to gloves in stores that cost $15. I do not think they are designed for heavy use, because the first thing to go was the fingers. The cloth on the fingertips does not last and will shred, and the rubber protection on the glove is glued on, not sewn, so it comes off in humid conditions. I wish they were leather finger-tipped. I leave near the ocean, so it is always humid, and in addition to glue failing, the gloves do not breath well, so my hands turn into prunes after a couple hours of work, into an 8 hour day. So I would say, if you plan to use these for light maintenance, they will likely be great gloves! If you deal with dirt and blocks and plants, these may not be right for you. I doubt there is a warranty on a $50 pair of gloves, so I'll have to go back to $15 gloves purchased locally.
I love these gloves, made very well! The cut protection is great I work in a demolition company and we deal with a lot of sharp and pointy objects. I felt very protected and with the impact gels on this I wasn't as worried as I normally am with our basic rubber gloves. The only sad thing is my gloves after 2 weeks are all chewed up already. We have been removing stucco and all the sharp chicken wire after two weeks of 10hrs shifts finally torn up my gloves. I don't blame the gloves because I know chicken wire day after day with constant use obviously would hold up. The seams started to break then eventually the finger tips and sides of the gloves. I'll still buy more since I need them, I wore the regular gloves provided by work and in that same day cut up my hands and received a nice bruised finger for pinching it between studs and a pry bar. Let me know if there is anything tougher to hold up to such conditions of daily use and sharp objects
