So, y’know how gigantic blackberry canes are basically **** tubes? This is the answer to your demonic vine problem. I have been trying to find gloves that would actually allow me to work with a giant evil pile of this stuff, and I got to enjoy a lot of stabbing and blood loss until now. I put them on and sort of tentatively poked a large thorn. This proved successful, so I steeled myself and grabbed a cane, soul cringing all the while, and then… no punctures. Nothing. It was like I was holding a pool noodle. Thanks to this, I embarked with newfound bravery on a fantastic hack, slash, and yanking adventure, thorns galore. GLORIOUS VICTORY. If I could give these gloves 100 stars, I would. The only thing I lament is there not being a size small enough for me to have my fingers actually reach to the ends of the glove. I can (as subtly noted above) merrily grab large things and yank, but I can’t pull grass or anything that requires the gloves to close all the way, as the glove begins to pull my fingernails backward, and this is, as one might imagine, an unfortunate feeling. Hopefully at some point there will be a small enough size in this glove type (XS), so I will happy bribe y’all with another sparkling review, should you produce such a thing. I am not above grovelling, either. Whatever does the trick.

I am wholly unqualified to judge the suitability of these gloves for purpose, but they work great for the baking tasks I am using them for. Much better than the 5050s at taking a hot dutch oven out of the oven. The 5050s were a lot more comfortable though, maybe these will break in after a couple of years like those did.
